I'm having the same problem. I don't think it is a VLC issue, I think the new firmware on the GoPro is the problem. I get the same thing as you with the GoPro HERO3 and the HERO3+.

Doesn't seem to work although iam running 2.0.8 Twoflower not 2.0.5 it streams for a second than stops, looping is too annoying to use.

You know what, I am not too sure. I'll need to try it again. If I would have to guess, I would say it is definitely not 1080p when I did it.

Haven't done this in a while, but try these steps I am about to list.

Turn off WiFi on your GoPro. Turn off your GoPro, pull the battery. Connect the battery, turn on GoPro, turn on WiFi on the GoPro (App/Tablet). Wait a few seconds, connect your laptop to the HERO3. Try to access the webpage using the address in this article. If it work, congrats! If not, repeat the steps one more time. Try to access the stream using VLC. Let me know if it works. One more thing, did you try a simple ping to the GoPro?

Hi, I am having problems trying to access http://10.5.5.9:8080/ via web browsers. I am unable to connect to the address while I am connected to the Go Pro Hero3 WiFi connection. I've tried Opera Web Browser, Google Chrome, and Mozilla FireFox with no avail using either one of them. Any ideas? - Connor

If you keep pressing play, it should eventually stay on. Not sure if it is a WiFi interference problem.

after loading mac os in onother partion after that when i boot macos first it suddenly hangs with apple logo.what will be do for this problem....

Got 3d going great but full screen splits the image in 2 all the time, try a pile of codecs and cant get it to work, any ideas? Using it with a 3d G74S

I got it to work first time, a couple of differences;

1) to get to file, layout i have to have a file open first otherwise layout is greyed
2) after your guide i had to finally goto file, settings, playback options, viewing method changed to nvidia 3d.

all works fine in window or full screen

In trying to follow your directions above, after selecting nVidia Vision from the Viewing Method drop down, it activates nVidia Vision properly. However, the problem is when I then attempt to select the output as "Stereoscopic", it then reverts back to anaglyph red/blue mode. I can't enable both modes simultaneously.

Any advice?
